Doubling Up in Sanctuary
Our wonderful director Shae has penned not one, but two articles in Issue 70 of Sanctuary Magazine - a magazine dedicated to spotlighting modern green homes.
The first the article challenges the conventional belief that “bigger is better” when it comes to designing long-lasting homes. Shae posits that true future-proofing isn’t about adding more rooms “just in case”—it’s about prioritising quality over quantity, designing for flexibility, and integrating sustainable principles that enhance both our homes and our lives.
The second article is a Design Workshop exploring ways to make a volume-built home more sustainable! For this feature, Shae reviewed a proposed design for a new family home in Blackburn South and provided suggestions on how to enhance energy efficiency, flexibility, and long-term sustainability—within the constraints of a volume builder’s process.
The magazine is out now and available in newsagents and online.
